We are a (yet small) group, singles and couples, between about 25 and 65 years of age. The one thing we have in common is our desire to move to the north of Portugal, in order to set up -and live/work in- an ecological village.
We are still in the initial phase and think that at this point it is essential that the group expands. A couple of people, no matter how enthusiastic and inspired, are not enough to set up an ecological village. The more people will join us, the greater the chance will be that our dreams will come true!

Quinta Alvorada do Ouro
victoria-is@peacemail.com
we invite you to a minga (shared work day) next tuesday morning (16th february) to be followed by a convivial mardi gras pancake lunch …
i would like to put up 150 metres of fencing with the aim of keeping the goats on the quinta and out of the vegetable garden. it would mainly be fixed to trees but will need some posts, mostly to be cut from mudronho.
i’d also like to remove the henhouse from its current location and rebuild it in the hen-run, to make more space for the sheep and goats who are multiplying at an alarming rate. (we had our first lamb yesterday, the other sheep is due in three weeks, the five goats are due ten days later.)
your help would be appreciated. i’d like to start at 9.00, aiming to have lunch at one o’clock or so.
please let me know if you’d like to come. will let you know about tools to bring when i know who’s
coming. outlandish carnaval costumes will of course be welcome, there may be prizes…
love
