Applied Mycology Workshop – Production of mushrooms

Participants will leave this course with the basic tools needed to create their own production of mushrooms at home.

- Symbiosis and ecological functions
- Mycology, ethnomycology and history
- Methods and substrates
- Considerations on methods

Practical Content
- Collection of spores
- Production of mycelium
- Sterilization of substrates
- Inoculation
- Harvesting
- Considerations permanent crops

Trainer: Pedro Prata
Master in Biology, investigators applied mycology, Faculty of Sciences of UL. Advisor courses in mycology Research Center for Appropriate Technology, Cottage Grove, Oregon, U.S.. Follower of the methods created by Paul Stamets. Contact with farming from an early age has been applying the new techniques that will discover the farm where he grew up.
